Planning Your Classroom Layout...
Classroom Architect
This tool, provided by 4teacher.org is another classroom layout plan. Again, the only problem is that you can't position things on a non-90 degree angle. This one allows you to draw shapes (squares, rectangles, circles), type on the plan, and even add a bean bag chair. You can save it, but I believe you have to keep your browser open in order to retrieve it. It's still a pretty useful tool if you need to plan your layout!

Here's a layout planner fromLakeshore. It's super easy to use. You do have to sign in to save your project. You can print it (without signing in) and it even has the option to print a detailed list of what you added (quantity & price). You can use actual classroom measurements in this platform... if you have a rectangular/square room. Still... easy and worth your time.

This is a really cool site and it seems easy to work with. Although it's targeted more towards residential and commercial layouts, you can still easily plan a classroom. You do have to sign up to make a plan, but it you only need to make one, then it might be worth it. Unless you plan on working for HGTV, then no need to purchase. In this platform, you can actually turn things the way you want and it has an impressive gallery of furniture to choose from.... plus things are based on actual measurements and not guessing. What a concept! Using actual measurements to plan!?

Use this online tool, from Scholastic, to design your room. It's pretty helpful and FREE. The only negative is that you can't rotate things 45 degrees.... only 90. It allows you to place #'s (students) and print out a seating chart. Pretty cool!

No layout designer, but a lot of cool (expensive) furniture. Sheweee! Friends, this little 3D layout is pretty aweome. Yes, I said 'shewee.' It's from 1 World Furnishings. If you happen to have $17,000 lying around to get ALL these goods, then please... can we be friends? All joking aside, they do have some pretty sweet furniture to drool over. I've got my power tools ready.
